Pursuing personal goals is very important in experiencing growth and positive change in your life.  How can you live on earth and not learn and grow?  So, I have made it my decision to embrace that fact and flow with the process. Building new skills, touching people along the way, falling down and dusting myself off – that is all a part of the process.  If you don’t want anything out of life, then why are you here?  I encourage everyone to set goals, find your purpose, and better yourself, because until you’re actually dead and buried, growth and change are guaranteed!!

Describe your role as First Lady: I realize that I am a role model. It is my responsibility to help in serving the needs of the membership, but, first and foremost, my first ministry is to my husband and my children.

What is the best advice that you’ve been given about being a First Lady: The best advice that I’ve been given is that my first priority is to take care of the needs of my husband and children and to do my best to make my home a happy one. My husband has enough to deal with on a daily basis, so I need to make sure that my home is a safe.

What is the biggest challenge that you face as First lady: My biggest challenge has been refraining from receiving negative criticism and/or complaints as a personal attack, especially when it involves my husband’s ministry.

Always strive to live your life to please the Lord, not people, and be mindful that people are looking at you as an example.

On Saturdays, one can usually find you… either attending my youngest son’s basketball games or curled up on the couch reading and watching a movie.

What is your favorite quote/scripture: “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14

What advice do you have for a First Lady new to her role: Always strive to live your life to please the Lord, not people, and be mindful that people are looking at you as an example, Therefore, be an example of Godliness and be the complete woman that God has designed you to be. Find your niche and get to work!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years: I see myself still working with my husband to expand the ministry, serving the needs of the people, encouraging other women, and furthering my career in nursing.
