Almost 12 years ago, the plan to develop DIVINE Magazine became the number one priority for its creator and publisher, Megan Mottley. There seemed to be a great need to create an inspirational magazine that would reach men and women of all races, particularly those between the ages of 18-34. At that age, young men and young women are trying hard to find themselves and figure out their purpose in life. That age brings constant thought about careers, finances, marriage and family, education, health and fitness, and relationships. Young adults also want to know about some of the less serious aspects of life like fashion and beauty, travel, the latest recipes, and of course, music, literature and entertainment. Many of the mainstream magazines that currently exist fail to feed the spiritual appetites of young adults. They try real hard, but they fail in dozens of ways. These magazines ultimately make the desire to live positively as one that is boring and mundane. Nevertheless, the creator and publisher of DIVINE knew otherwise. A lifestyle of inspiration, positivity and motivation is not only necessary to better ourselves and our communities, but it can also be just as fun, exciting and fulfilling. This is proven month after month in the pages of DIVINE.

DIVINE is a magazine that is visually appealing, packed with timeless features and articles, and celebrates a positive lifestyle. The publication has a quarterly circulation of 20,000 and a readership of 60,000 and is distributed in Delaware, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Tennessee, & Washington, D.C. The first issue of DIVINE hit the newsstands in January 2007, with a circulation of 1,500.
