Arnetta Murill Crooms Taking Gospel Music Industry by Storm!

Arnetta Murrill-Crooms & HusbandEver since we heard her delightfully upbeat tune titled: “Try it Again” it was obvious that this adorable and distinctive Woman of God, was going to become a household name. The aforementioned was last year 2013, but since then “Team Arnetta Murrill-Crooms” has several new and great things in the works.
She is indeed a humble Woman of God in every sense of the word. Talking to Arnetta, is like talking with a cherished family member. She keeps God first and is true to the Word of God. Family is very important to Murrill-Crooms and they work together seamlessly; almost hand in hand for the greater good. She has won many awards including the recent victory of the coveted; “7th Annual Queen’s City Awards * Gospel Female Recording Artist of the Year: Arnetta Murrill-Crooms.” Unfortunately, there isn’t enough time or copy to share “all the greatness of this amazing lady,” but we’ll give it a try anyway.
Arnetta Murrill-Crooms, a native of Wilmington, NC, is known for her pure, yet raspy, soulful and heart-piercing sound that has captured the attention of many throughout her singing career. “Netta” as she is affectionately called by her loved ones, believes that her love for music and ministry allows her to transcend religious barriers by meeting people without judgment and condemnation. With the love of God, her ministry offers a way of escape through its empowering, lyrical message.
Singing with her family group, “The Murrills”, she led the dynamic single “There’s a Healing” on the debut album Family Prayer, which earned the group Grammy and Stellar Award nominations. Through a sincere heart of worship, Netta has also been featured on notable projects including Bishop T.D. Jakes’ “Usher Me,” as well as Donald Lawrence’s “ I Am God,” “In The Presence Of The King,” and “Love The Hurt Away.”
Through her affiliation with Donald Lawrence and the Tri-city Singers, Arnetta has accumulated several Stellar and Dove awards, in addition to Grammy nominations. She has also appeared in the 2001 film “Boycott” singing “What a Time,” which starred Terrence Howard and Jeffrey Wright. Her voice can also be heard on the 1996 film “The Associates,” starring Whoopi Goldberg.
Arnetta has a degree in Sociology and is a recent graduate from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC). Through her experience she has come to believe that life coaching, music and ministry plays a vital role in her career. Passionately driven to helping people, Netta writes inspiring music that speaks to the very heart of man, drawing them closer to God.
Talking about successes, Arnetta’s Try It Again" music video will be screen March 1st at the Charlotte Black Film Festival and up for the Best Music Video Award!
