As an educator, I know that I have to drive the academics, but there is more to life than solving a math problem. We have to teach our children how to socialize and deal with everyday issues. Looking at our society, it is imperative that we step in and use every "teachable" moment available to guide our youth. So many of them are exposed to situations that will ultimately harm them. We have to be that outlet for them. I charge every responsible adult to take the time to talk, teach, and/or guide a child who NEEDS it. It is better for me to set goals with various timelines. For an example, I am almost done with my 2nd Master's program and I am now in in the process of deciding what to do next. I woke up this morning with several thoughts. I am writing timeline and contacting people who I feel can assist me. My goal is to have the next step decided by the end of May. I was speaking to someone today about the story of Joshua. It is so funny how we always find ourselves "shouting out" to people when we have problems. While it is good to have someone to talk to or lean on, how WONDERFUL it is for us to know that there is power in calling on the name of the Lord. He may not come when we want Him to, but He will always be on time. <br/><br/>I am going to take your advise, the next time I am in a difficult situation or dealing with an issue, I am going to close my mouth and open my heart to GOD.
