Crown Events Presents Their First Annual Black Women’s Expo

Successful, multi-talented powerhouse Visonary/CEO Crown Events Shatona Kilgore-Groves and her team are making entreprenuerial history again. This event will be in Music City USA; Nashville, TN. However, Shatona has been known and recognized for years, for her national proects and highly successful flair for greatness. The Crown Events 1st Annual Black Women’s Expo has been in the planning stages for a while and that is not unusual for Shatona Kilgore-Groves; she practices seamless, quality marketing and customer service – leaving nothing to chance.

The Crown Events 1st Annual Black Women’s Expo is scheduled to bring women from all over the state together in unity to support Black businesses and learn about entrepreneurship through all day workshops. The workshops and the event will be held at the Hotel Preston from 1-5pm on June 16, 2018. Crown Events specializes in women’s expos, retreats and conferences in several states including GA, TN, and MN.


Expo Agenda: 1:1 expo 4 expo attendee expo audience expo customer5-2pm – Jelly Malenga, founder & director of The Bella Project, a Nashville, TN based 501 (c)(3) enrichment organization to help women and girls realize their self-worth. Ms. Malenga will be speaking on the power of affirmations as a business owner.

215-3pm- Wanda Scott, is an author of several books, a professor, and consultant.
Ms. Scott encourages her audience to live an abundant life no matter their career, to redefine themselves, and have the courage to live for a greater purpose.Her workshop title is “Redefine YOU: The Courage for Greater!”

3:15-4pm- Lisa Swift-Young, Professionally, she as excelled in many positions and held numerous titles. Account Manager, Executive Sales Consultant, Sales Trainer, Campus President, Professor, Dean, and Publisher to name a few. She will be teaching us how to have it all! Focus on our business and Excelling in our finances.

4:15-5 pm- Aireka Harvell, Founder of Nodat Nashville (Nashville’s Best Local Guide), an app that creates a platform to help businesses with marketing and informs customers on little known facts and the Nashville community. She is speaking on overcoming the challenges of entrepreneurship, Her workshop is called “Push through the Burn!” to Reach your Goals as an Entrepreneur.

The keynote speaker and host of the event is African-American female candidate for County Commissioner (Clarksville, TN), Army veteran, Dr. Rashidah Leverett who will speak to a large audience on “It’s Possible. It’s Doable. It’s Time!”

The event also provides music, spoken word by Memphis born poet and actor Cameron Mitchell, entertainment and more.
