Faith is not knowing God can, it’s confidence He Will!

I would like to kick-off this blog by posing the following question: Do we have more confidence in knowing that God can do what He promised than believing God will do what He promised? I’ve heard people say “oh, I know God can heal me,” yet if you want to be healed would one not believe that they’re already healed. The word doesn’t say “by Jesus stripes we can be healed, No, it says we are healed” which means it’s already done, past tense. Faith is simply confidence (believing) in God’s ability to do what He promised He would do.

The word of God states, “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1 NLT”). The Passion Translations express faith in this manner, “Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.”

We must establish a foundation for the things we’re believing God for and that foundation is called Faith. I know having faith can sometimes seem challenging especially when you encounter things in life which causes your faith to be shaken or even weakened, but we must understand that Faith is what God answers to.

So, I challenge you to renew your faith because when you think about it, what else do you have? God gave me this word last Saturday morning; there are two choices when it comes down to believing God and that is you’re going to either SWIM or SINK. Either your going to Swim in Faith or Sink in doubt, and with all I’m believing God for, who has time to doubt. Did you know that doubting takes a whole lot more energy than having faith? So, do yourself a favor and make it easier on your mind, body, and spirit and just believe in Faith and know that God Will come through for you! He Got You!
