God’s word is just like Him, the same, yesterday, today, and forever more. Many things change in our lives such as seasons, careers, passions, desires, goal, dreams, friends, relationships just to name a few, among other things, but despite all the changes we go through, there is one thing that will hands down always remain the same and that is God’s word.
Because God’s word will never change, we can rely on it, depend on it, and trust His word. The word of God is the prescription for life. Just taking a small dose of it will warrant change, but major doses will effect change; there is no such thing as taking too much. We take natural, man-made prescriptions and hear me when I say I have nothing against natural prescriptions as I take them myself when necessary, but it’s no comparison to God’s prescription. See the man-made prescriptions we take don’t promise or guarantee anything and often times causes horrible side effects, it suggest that it will help, but you have to make sure you take the proper dosage as too much of man-made prescriptions can be life threatening, versus God’s prescription, can be life changing.
The word of God is a guarantee, it’s a promise with a lifetime warranty (Matthew 24:35). It’s a promise that His word will never fail, it can never return to him void, but it will accomplish what He sent it to accomplish or in other words, it will do what God said it will do according to Isaiah 55:10-11 NLT. God’s word has already been established in the earth, it has been settled in heaven (Psalms 119:89) and therefore can’t return to Him void.
Now I must warn you that there are some side effects with taking God’s prescription such as complete healing, deliverance, salvation, restoration, comfort, peace, joy, hope, strength, blessing, favor, life and my favorite….POWER, power to change any situation or circumstance. Now don’t think just because you don’t see anything right away that the word is of no effect, the devil is a lie as that’s what he wants you to think. There are times you may see expeditious results when you speak God’s word in Faith (childlike faith) and there are times where the results may be a little slow, but you can’t give up or doubt as we know and though sometimes hard to accept, God’s timing is not our timing and delay doesn’t mean denial or that the word is no good. For God can be trusted to keep His promise. (Hebrews 10:32)
So don’t allow the enemy to distract you every time you go to study the word. Remember James 4:7 , “7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” I there you to prescribe to this new prescription called God’s word, I promise, it will change your life!
