Deborah A. Culp, a seasoned Journalist & Consultant moved to NC in 2008 from Michigan to remain close to her son, An Active Duty, U.S. Marine based in Camp Le Jeune, NC. Even newer to Wilmington, she followed the learning curve, mastered the art of professional Copywriting and became an “On-Line Writer, Social Media Consultant and Photographer.
A former “Living Local” correspondent for the Wilmington, NC Star News Online. Currently a writer for: Divine Caroline, TPEpost News, “For Colored Gurls”, The History of Jazz Music, “LiveMyGospel”, “Divine Woman Magazine”, “The Streets Don’t Love You Back” and the Parent/Family Expert for the Examiner.com: Wilmington/Fayetteville, NC. Ms. Culp was one of “The 2013 Lower Cape Fear YWCA & WILMA Magazine women of Achievement Nominees”; Category: Communications. In February 2013, the Main Branch of the New Hanover County showcased a variety of her work (Articles & Photographs) in their outer lobby, for Black History Month.
Ms. Culp is completing her first book: “Then there was Laughter”, preparing for Photography School and keeping Volunteer Commitments in North Carolina as well. She recently became the Public Relations Ministry Director for her church- New Beginnings Christian Church www.Newbcc.com
