Pam Brown, licensed master level social worker and behavior therapist, will host a self-esteem building workshop for teen girls on July 30 – August 1, 2015 in Memphis, TN. The purpose of this workshop is to build self-esteem among teen girls in an effort to prevent and decrease self-destructive behavior. During this workshop, attendees will participate in intensive group therapy sessions with other teen girls covering topics such as building confidence, self-harm, coping skills, decision making, and overcoming trauma. Lunch will be catered and attendees will hear from a guest presenter each day. The teens will also participate in a confidence building makeover session with a photo-shoot.
“I am experienced with adults, children, and adolescents and I specialize in group therapy with teen girls and boys. I typically work with this population once they are already in a crisis; however I feel that more preventative work is needed in the community. ~Pam Brown, LMSW
This is the first installment of several community based workshops that Brown plans to present.
To register, an application must be submitted along with registration fees. All applications and fees must be completed prior to July 16, 2015.
