Where Does Your Spark Come?

God's words are our personal sparks.

God’s words are our personal sparks.

It was just a few days ago that we celebrated Independence Day, some of us purchased all sorts of firecrackers, attended viewings of firework shows, and watched the sparks fly from the grill. All of those are ways some of us celebrate in the natural, you may receive a spark from the excitement or from the taste of “Uncle Bubba’s secret ingredient in the BBQ sauce.”

The question is not based on a holiday that comes once a year. This question is based on every day. Where does your spark come from?  Is it from the first morning cup of coffee, that morning smoke, the five mile jog, or could it be from your private moment with your spouse. Well again, that is all natural and physical sparks.

When you pray, read, fast, worship, fellowship, and tithe you should receive an igniting spirit within your mind, heart, and body that will last forever. God has an endless firework show, his ingredients are not kept a secret, and you will never have to purchase his firecracker (meaning his word). Yes, I am referring to God’s words has a firecracker. God’s words are spoken to combust within your lives for others to see his light shining through you. Now this is where your spark should come from. Hallelujah!

Jeremiah 23:29

“Does not my word burn like fire? Asks the Lord. Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashed a rock to pieces?”
