Hello all, it is with great honor that I am so happy to write this next blog with my 2nd BFF, my Mom, Dr. C.J. Leigh. God gave her this title and a mighty word to go along with it and so we’re taking it and running with it. It’s a little lengthy but well worth the time. Here we go….
Our world, society, and sad to say, some churches have been succumbed by the tactics of the enemy called Technology of Love. What I mean by this is that true love from the Bible is not found on .net, .com, .org, or. chat. The Bible said in Proverbs 18:22, “a man that findeth a wife finds a good thing.” We cannot manipulate the word of God to please our vulnerability for wanting to find true love. Our world is overtaken by technology and many believers feel its of God to create your personal resume and upload it on .net or .com to find your true love.
Many believe that this new age technology is God’s way of connecting people, yet we fail to realize like so many things on this earth, it’s all man made. Who said God needed help connecting His children? What has happened is people have gotten tired of waiting on God, they feel He’s taking to long or perhaps moving to slow and has therefore decided that maybe, just maybe God needs a little help. GOD DOESN’T need our help, what He need is for us to wait on Him, trust Him, believe in Him, and know that His timing is perfect and it’s EVERYTHING!
We’ve failed to understand that perhaps God is trying to prepare us by healing us or delivering us from whatever has happened in our lives that could damage or abort His plan (i.e. soul ties, broken hearts, generational curses, etc.). While we may think we’re ready for a relationship or marriage, however, God doesn’t think, He is fully aware if we’re ready or not. I love the message translation of Proverbs 16: 1-2, “Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good.” He does not want us to carry any baggage into His ordained relationship.
I know waiting is hard, and trust me, it is, I wrote the blog on it, but it’s necessary. I know many are confident that online dating is of God, but we ask that you truly seek God concerning this. Anything that has the potential to be unsafe is not of God. It does not matter how many successful married couples you may know that met online, it is strongly suggested that you seek God concerning this as I don’t recall this being an avenue God used in the Bible. We need to stop trying to fit God’s word in with this new age technology and instead, “seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you!” Matthew 6:33. Remember, heaven and earth, along with this new age technology will pass away, but God’s word will forever remain the same. God knows just the man he’s created for you daughter and he know’s just the woman he’s created for you son, so allow Him to finish the work in you that you may be complete, lacking nothing, and in His own good timing, He will make the connection.
